Dear Civil Society partners, stakeholders and interested parties,
Welcome to the Civil Society Index (CSI) blog for the implementation phase 2008-2010!
We are hoping that this blog can serve several purposes, including:
- Keeping you abreast of recent activities within the CSI team and program
- Providing a central location for partners to come and share their experiences, opinions, photos, struggles and successes in implementing the CSI in your country
As you know, the CSI is an action-research project that aims to assess the state of civil society in countries around the world. Between 2003 and 2006 the CSI was implemented in over 50 countries worldwide, and during 2007-2008 an intermediary phase, focusing in particular on African countries was implemented. In early 2008 the project’s methodology was revised, based on the results of various evaluations and comments of stakeholders and experts. We have now trained all of our current partners, and implementation of the project is now in full swing!
We have uploaded several links and documents with more information on the programme, as well as photos from recent trainings.
We encourage you to share your information with us as well: if you have some CSI project pages within your own organization’s website, or photos and documents you would like to publicize, think of this blog as another way to do so, and reach a global audience!
We look forward to engaging with you on this forum!
The CSI Team
